Kevin Martin

Kevin is a Pastry Chef  that specialises in chocolate sculptured cakes. Kevin and his wife started Chocolate Earth in 2005 which became an iconic patisserie in the Bays.  After winning Australasian Cake Decorator of the Year, he then spent the next 10 years teaching cake decorating classes across New Zealand and Australia.


Time for a change!  Kevin has joined the Clay Studios team to follow his dream, trading chocolate for his other passion, clay. He is the all-round studio helper and very happy to assist you wherever needed.  He now creates sculptures that become lasting through heat and not melt and disappear.

He closed his classroom in Browns Bay 7 months into Covid and has been chomping at the bit to get back into sharing creative experiences with students.
